Harika Basharan

A warm welcome.

I am a highly skilled senior psychotherapist with 30 years’ experience dedicated to professional practice and service to others. Alongside my private practice, I have worked in many settings: The Priory, offering pre, post and in hospital treatment, The Kings Fund which is the UK’s medical think tank, providing personal and professional development programmes to medical leadership groups, and as a trauma/bereavement therapist with survivors of the Grenfell tragedy. I held the role of Assistant Director at The Counselling in Primary Care Trust developing innovative programmes for research and the development of clinical professionals. I am the founder of Mind Body Therapies for Transformation.

I am passionate about and devoted to my work with my clients, and to helping each person find the way forward that is right for them. It is a profound privilege to work with individuals entrusted to my care. As each person is unique, I adapt the therapy to meet the needs of each individual, ensuring effective delivery to clients and placing their needs and priorities at the heart of every consultation.  I take a layered approach; proactive and practical to help bring fast symptom relief to and help clients move forward, together with a deeper dynamic approach to enable understanding of root cause and empowerment toward lasting change. Ultimately aiming for a deep alignment with individual truth. I would describe my approach as open, empowering and tailored.
